Self Belief Rules!

Do you feel inadequate? Do you spend your life scrolling on social media and
comparing yourself to everyone’s life and success?

Haven’t we all done this at some point in time!? The trouble is when you can’t seem
to shift this comparison and Imposter it makes you doubt your whole being.

A lack self-belief is a lack of self-love and will lead you down the same old garden path
every single time, experiencing the same old feelings of inadequacy and self doubt.

When I lacked self belief I saw myself through a lens of untruth and spent my life
comparing myself to others. “I am not as good as she is.” “I am not as successful.” “I am
not as fit as her.” “I am not as clever as her.” “I am not as funny as her.”

I was a bully to myself. I taunted myself, told myself I was useless.

Yet everything I saw was simply an illusion.

This comparison lived only within me.

This comparison and lack of self-belief may have been taken on from another person, but I
had to take responsibility for being the one to maintain the limiting belief. As I grew up the
words of another person were merely a reflection of how I say myself. I had created people

in my life that held the same beliefs. Ultimately I created them to help me awaken. Their
projection of crap would eventually lead me to saying NO to all crap!

The only way I was going to bring an end to this mindless living was to become aware of
what I was telling myself and reclaim the power by telling myself the Truth.

I had convinced myself that I was powerless. In fact it felt as though I had given my power
away. That’s just not true. My power has always been there. I just made it seem as though
my power was unavailable. I gave my Imposter all the power instead and believed all the
crap she said. I’d forgotten my power. I hid from myself and I went to great lengths to
ensure that I didn’t see the real me. I continued to believe that this limited, powerless
version of myself was who I really was.

But I’d had enough of playing small. It was time to break free, to bust loose. It was
finally time to embrace who I really was, the Real me.

I began to care less and less for what other people thought and no longer sought coaches
to give me what I believed I lacked. Instead I started to believe in myself.

From this energy everything simply flowed, and when it stopped flowing I would step back
and take a break. I didn’t beat myself up or force myself to do work I would gracefully close
my laptop and step away.

By learning to believe in myself I was able to create a business I love. From this energy of
love and appreciation, it meant absolutely anything was possible.

The way I work now lights me up and feels like so much fun. In fact it no longer feels like
work. From this heart-set I attract like minded souls who are drawn to my energy. My
business now feels like I’m simply pouring energy into something I have created from a
place of love. From this place of being there is no more stress, pressure or comparison. I
no longer need to prove myself and burn myself out in the process. I now know it doesn’t
matter how I do things, what counts is that it just feels good! As my mentor calls it:
‘Creative Ecstasy’.

If you find yourself being a slave to your mind and allowing the words of another to hold
you back, however unconscious the self doubt might be, I fully Invite you to explore your
own limiting beliefs, you may wish to consider the common statements that you heard as a
child from, parents, grandparents, carers or a teacher. This may help you to gain
awareness of the impact of these words or your perception of these words.

What do you remember being told as a child, was it positive or negative?
Did you have a parent for whom nothing was ever good enough and who compared you to
others?
Did you try your best but never got noticed?
Did you find yourself unable to meet expectations?
What has happened to make you believe that you aren’t good enough?

Be honest with yourself and consider how this makes you feel now. To deepen further into
these insights you may wish to write this all down.

The only way to start reclaiming your power and clearing all the crap is to start shining a
light on yourself.

Please free to share your reflections and realisations. I love to hear all about your Self
Love Shifts!

Emotions sure are unpredictable, and simply movements of energy, it’s only the mind that applies it’s stories and creates any feelings of disharmony….blog to follow soon!
